    Biography

    Barbara is a biomedical sciences PhD student at UCSF, working at the intersection of genome engineering and translational science. She is co-mentored by Dr. Kyle Cromer and Dr. Tippi MacKenzie, and her research is supported by an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. Her current work centers on advancing in vivo genome engineering as a path toward finding cures for genetic disorders. This builds on her earlier research developing delivery vehicles for in vivo T cell engineering, aimed at advancing cancer therapeutics.
